Declared State of Confusion

When a person is experiencing a state of confusion, they are seen as being in a manic state. If an individual is in a manic state, they are not in a sound state of mind to make proper decisions. If in court a person has declared state of confusion, then they must be able to prove their confusion at the time of the crime committed. If a person can prove a declared state of confusion then this defense can hold up in criminal court. If a court decides in the favor of a the individual with a state of confusion, then generally speaking, the person will have to go to an institution that specializes in mental illnesses as opposed to a jail.
